Maintenance Tips To Extend The Life Of Your Industrial Manipulator

As is known to all, industrial manipulator has been widely used in the manufacturing fields to achieve automated production operations, improving factory production efficiency while also ensuring the stability of product quality. However, many factories neglect the management and daily maintenance of manipulators, which reduces the service life. In fact, the service life of products cannot be guaranteed unless they are carefully maintained.

Tongli, a modern manufacturing enterprise specializing in the research and development, design, production, sales and service of storage and handling equipment automation, shares some practical maintenance tips with you, helping you extend the life of your manipulators.

Daily and weekly maintenance

1. Clean and wipe the manipulator. Wipe the machine before you get off work every day to keep the the manipulator clean.

2. Wipe the guide rail and lubricate. Wipe the old grease on the guide rod and guide rail, re-wipe with new lubricant. The guide rail must be kept lubricated, especially for the machine with PVC and other corrosive raw materials.

3. Discharge the water accumulated in the filter pressure reducing valve before starting the machine every day.

4. Check the pressure of the air pressure source and the dryness of the air.

5. Check whether the negative pressure sensor is normal.

6. Check whether the clamp detection magnetic ring switch is normal.

7. Check whether the interlock between the industrial manipulator and injection molding machine is normal.

8. Check whether the setting bolts of each travel control block have been locked loosely.

Monthly maintenance

1. Check the proper timing belt for tightness.

2. Clean the filter pressure reducing valve and silencer.

3. Adjust the operating speed of each movement.

4. Check whether the interlock between the industrial manipulator and injection molding machine is normal.

5. Check the bolts of all the moving parts for looseness.

6. Determine whether the pipeline is ruptured or whether the wire connection is loosened.

7. Wipe the dust and oil on the manipulator to ensure the cleanliness.

8. Check the inside of the electronic control box. Clean the dust, and check the terminals, relay plugs, and electronic components on the circuit board for looseness.
