1. Degrees of freedom for automatic manipulator
The degree of freedom of the automatic manipulator refers to the number of axes; the more axes the manipulator has, the higher the degree of freedom will be, the greater the flexibility will be, and the more complex the movements can be done. However, more axes require more complex programming work that depends on the specific work.
2. Re-positioning accuracy
This parameter directly reflects the accuracy of the automatic manipulator. When the manipulator repeatedly completes an action, an error will occur when reaching a position, and such error will be smaller for the manipulator with higher accuracy. Generally, the error of the manipulator is within ± 0.5mm, which should be focused on for any application that has very high requirements for accuracy. For the application with not high accuracy requirements, you don’t have to choose a manipulator with high re-positioning accuracy.
3. Level of protection
If the manipulator operates in the environment where there’s any dust or water, the operation of the manipulator will be affected. Therefore, the level of protection of the manipulator should be studied. Given different adaptabilities of different manipulators to various environments, you should choose the manipulator with suitable level of protection that can best suit the working environment.
4. Load
The load of the manipulator determines the maximum weight that can be carried when working. You should first know well the weight of the accessories on the production line, and then choose the right weight.
5. Maximum range of movement
Each manipulator has a maximum range of movement and the farthest distance it can reach, so you have to consider whether its range of movement meets your needs.
